The Calling Of The Open Road
As a mild mannered professional working at a law firm I rarely get the opportunity to break out into areas outside my comfort zone. But, I promised myself I would change this. At the outset, I chose to make a list of all things I wanted to do. Then I realized, this is exactly what I did not want to do. Make a list.
I hastily escaped the office cell and jumped into my SUV to immerse myself in the freedom of the road. It was then I realized that this was a touch I had missed from my youth. I had learned how to drive when I was nineteen and plotting how fantastic it was to be out on the road. I dredge up having the windows rolled down in the summer time and having the breeze flow through my hair. This was freedom and I wanted to experience it again.
The traffic light bunged me. As I awaited the green, I turned to my right to see a well outfitted man and his noteworthy other on a noisemaker. It was a stylish, yet rugged looking bike. He looked like a model dressed as a bike rider. He wore a well maintained leather jacket that looked nearly new. He was roofed from head to toe with a black helmet, gloves, and stylish leather boots. It was hard to tell his age. His female companion also appeared attractive and dressed in a akin fashion. This was my calling.
I suddenly knew what I yearned for: to ride a motorcycle. I had to test drive one at the very least. I figured I might even be able to get a weekend lease to see how I loved the apparatus. I steered my auto directly home. As I slowly parked in the garage, I was confronted by my other failed attempts. For instance, a jet ski, fishing rods, and alpine skiing gear. But this time it would be uncommon. I went inside to look for a local dealer.
I plotting this time it would be uncommon. I knew I can delight in this since I could do it anytime I wanted. I did not need to be in water or on a ski slope. I can be at home, in the park, out on the road and I would be free. I found the local index and wrote down the take up of a couple of local dealers. The first one I went to dealt in the prominent domestic brand of cycles. These were the ones I wanted.
The salesperson at the store was very understanding even with my over inquisitive approach. He provided me with all the noteworthy details a propos the selection, options, and prices. He was very well dressed and donned a stylish men’s sport watch. I told him my goal was to experience the joy of the open road. He plotting a low rider with a high handle bar would be the perfect solution. I was keen to take it for a ride. I inquired about renting or let the bike for a few days.
He answered quite affirmatively. He had expected akin exploration before. There were many customers who wanted to try on the bike before making a full hold. Making an immediate commitment seemed a small out of place given the freedom they were looking to sell. Also, there are the considerations of one’s spouse and relatives. I signed the apt papers and went out on the open road.
